5/4: full house

Pippin's surgery today was a mixed success: he made it through and his tumor has been reduced, but it won't be able to be removed entirely, and it's not ultimately curable. Still: he's back at home now, and we are our little family this evening, and that is a very very very very very good thing.

I hear that one. We have 1 cat and 3 dogs and when someone isn't feeling well I start falling apart.

My good thing for today was being home again after a good visit with son and daughter-in-law in Honolulu (and attending a conference for continuing ed) and finally being able to take the time to get my garden started. I planted 16 square feet of pole and bush beans. The Topsy-Turvy tomatoes are starting to bud.

My good thing not only today but recently: I got in contact with someone from Fredericksburg, TX through postcrossing. We`re writing each other around 5 emails per day for the last two weeks and we`re getting to know eacht other quite well. Last week we exchanged packages. I sent one from Germany and she sent one from Texas. Postcrossing is a really good thing and I got to sent my 100 th card today!

Hello, Barbara, and thanks for understanding where I was coming from. Your garden planting sounds wonderful, and I hope you enjoyed Hawaii!

Hi there, decowoman, and thanks for stopping by. I'm glad that your postcrossing friendship is thriving, and congratulations on reaching your 100th card!
