9/16: walking in someone else's shoes (literally)

Chris has been away at a conference this weekend.  This evening as I was tidying up, his shoes were the handiest when I needed to run some stuff to the garbage cans outside, so I slipped them on.  It was a fun way to think of him while he wasn't here.

Rebecca - Steve has an old pair of loafers next to the back door. We call them his chicken shoes because that's what he slips on when he's going out to tend to them. What's more, Youngest Daughter and I both use the same pair when we're doing the same!

Yes! It feels fun to put on someone else's too-big-for-you shoes, and there's something very family-feeling about it, to share something like that (which isn't usually shared).
