1/19: clearer desk

Over the past week my desk in my home office became unmanageable, really un-work-at-able.  Today I spent some time clearing it off.  I have some hopes for serious work tomorrow and Monday, and maybe having a space already made physically will help me to find a productive space mentally.

Being a pushover for well-written blogs, this Postcrosser drops in to say that the best things happening today here in Hong Kong were that (A) the water came back earlier than it was supposed to after a main burst in the District, and (B) it didn't get as cold as the weather people said it would. The problem of off-the-wall forecasting is not unique to the USA! "Gweilo" signing off.

Thanks for coming by, and I'm glad for your water & not-as-cold-as-could-be temperatures; hope you had a sweet day! (Also it's strangely nice to know that unreliable forecasts cross national boundaries.)

I'm a huge fan of clearing the physical space to provide for the mental space. Hope you are happily able to conquer the tasks at hand today and tomorrow.

I don't quite "get" those people who don't seem to feel the correlation between physical set-up and mental set-up, but I know they're out there!

Yes and one lives with me! Thank goodness for the man cave!

Yes, thank goodness for separate spaces so that everyone can have "a room of their own." It's a (physical and metaphorical) luxury that I should be grateful for.
