3/8: connections

Comments by Meri & Honoré here at my blog, and mail from Fiona, Bee, and Carlos all in one day.  Wonderful people I've met online and have now known for years.

There are more fantastic postal and internet friends I've made connections with, too, but it felt like such a bounty to have five touchstones to the larger world in a single day.

... peeling fruit for juicing and when I looked up there was a sunrise right there, in front of me - what a blessing!... watching my girls walk to school, hand in hand, realizing I have forgotten my camera again to capture the moment, and knowing in my heart I will always remember the image of them, being so close despite difference in age, although I haven't recorded it right then and there... Fridays make me smile, even at the office...

Sunrises & sunsets can be amazing that way, yes? They seem like such big events that they shouldn't sneak up on you, but sometimes they do--all of a sudden they're there, an impossible surprise.

And though I love my camera, those non-camera moments can be so powerful...thanks for sharing, and I hope you have a good weekend.
