Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR
12/20: a veritable flock
I've written about bluebirds before (see 11/16), but I have to write about them again. It's a grey-brown day, and--happily, miraculously--a flock of bluebirds is flying up and down our ridge, drinking water from puddles and eating berries from trees. I've never seen so many bluebirds together in one place at one time. And their amazing blue is all the more wonderful against the neutral winter background.
I don't think I've ever seen bluebirds before! Sounds nifty.
ReplyDeleteYesterday's good thing: Playing with Peach in the snow. We raced around the back yard and just played in the snow for a good half hour yesterday.
