Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. 5/16: sinking in
I'm a bit under the weather today, so I've been reading in bed. Hawthorne's House of the Seven Gables has been keeping me good company, and it's been intriguing to see Hawthorne's characterization of Hepzibah Pyncheon unfold.
my daughter turns 26 today.. such a joy, she is we are very lucky to spend a lifetime together
