Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR
9/23: yellow skies
On my way to campus this morning I looked east as I drove around the lake. Yellow light was streaming through the clouds in the early sky.
This afternoon at school we had our second short-story discussion session in the library. We read "The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky" by Stephen Crane and had a great time.
The triple digit heatwave hasn't materialized and the last two days have been quite pleasant.
