Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR
4/25: back home
The tornado warnings started while we were still at school today, but we made it home. Though it's going to be a long night of storm-watching, I'm glad that we're here together with the cats rather than stranded at school.
Hi, April & Barbara--Thanks for your good thoughts. We made it through the storms, but the town to the west of us was hit pretty badly by a tornado. I don't think I'll ever get used to tornado season here.
I'm vicariously excited about your hummingbird, April! I have yet to see one this year. And 100 trees--my goodness.
Wow I'll be thinking of you! Let us know how it went.
ReplyDeleteToday I planted about 100 trees. They were a gift to us from the forestry company that is working in the area.
Yesterday, the first hummingbird of the season!
April
I specialize in earthquakes so tornadoes sound scary. Stay safe!
