Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR
6/8: strangely compelling
We've been watching the Canadian TV series called Trailer Park Boys through Netflix. It's well done in many ways (and the scenario is admittedly off-beat). We're hooked. Are we fans, or addicts?
I don't know that series - yet. We're working our way through Monarch of the Glen after finishing, Downton Abbey and all the Doc Martins (love that series). We seem to be going from series to series this year. And yes, it was becoming an addiction (more like a time suck) so I protested and rationed us to one per night!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Dusty, for the link! Bubbles is such a charismatic and endearing character.
ReplyDeleteAnd hello, Meri--Sunlight & green...there aren't many things better than that!
