Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR
3/26: thick in the air
The smell of spring. I think being away for awhile (and spending time in a city) made me especially aware of it upon returning. Even the air feels green.
... putting seeds in the ground in my vegetable garden - a promise of new life... going for a walk and feeling more energetic afterwards... hearing my daughter's reaction after she had been graded a B at Slovenian (which she wasn't happy about): "it's my move now!"...
