Once teaching begins, lake-time will be rare, so I'm indulging myself now. And I'm laying in visual provisions for the school year: today I got a big volume of Agnes Martin's work, and I'll look forward to paging through it when I'm more desk-and-chair-bound.
Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR

ReplyDeleteI can't even describe how beautiful I think the photos are. The lake must be even more beautiful and amazing when one is really there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Una. I feel so lucky when I'm on the lake; I also feel lucky to have a chance to share my experiences through photos. I think it might feel almost sad otherwise--to see it all and have no way to share it.
