Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR
5/21: private showing
This evening Chris and I went to our local movie theatre to watch the broadcast of the Stratford Festival's production of Antony and Cleopatra. We were the only ones there--luxurious.
That sounds fantastic :) I love it when I am the only one at the movie theater, then I can just laugh out loud when something is funny without getting judging looks from others (I'm German...People don't have a sense of humour :D ) A friend showed me a song that I hadn't heard of before. Mr. Bass Man by Johnny Cymbal. And it just gets me into a good mood and makes me smile and dance :)
