Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. As I was coming into the cove in my kayak this evening (how rare to be able to kayak during the school year on a weekday!), the moon was rising over the tree-tops.
Beautiful! Photos like these make me realize what we miss living in the city... It's been years since I was in a canoe or kayak on a lake or river. Memories of watching the DC July 4th fireworks in a canoe on the Potomac.
