Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. At the lake and during our walk up the hill this evening Chris and I saw a bat, a walking stick insect, and a tarantula! I love seeing tarantulas, and it had been some time since we sighted one, so this was a very nice thing indeed.
