Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. ...of myth as both the lamp (the story/narrative/plot) and the light in the lamp (what the story gets us to think about). I mentioned this to my students at the start of their final Myth test this morning.
