Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. 9/4: a new thought
...about Hawthorne's "Three Golden Apples" in A Wonder-Book. It has a different feel than the other stories in the book--and I think I'm beginning to understand why it makes sense for it to be different.
