Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. ...to clear the evening of other work so I could read Daphnis and Chloe for a book discussion group tomorrow afternoon. It's been almost seven years since the last time I read it, and it was good to revisit it with different eyes.
