Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. 6/4: private syllabus
I have a month to get myself up to speed for a conference and to write my paper for it. I've made myself a syllabus and started my reading and thinking. My head is swirling with words and thoughts--kind of crazy, kind of fun.
... watching the bell-towers of the Dome bath in the late afternoon sun... how wonderful to spend a couple of hours strolling the old streets of Ljubljana, the capital city, with my two girlfriends... we should do this more often...
called my hairdresser back after yesterdays do and told him i needed to come for a little more fine tuning on the cut, have an appt for tomorrow
