10/25: unexpected guests
My former student whose wedding was on Saturday was still in town today, and she and her spouse came by my office to chat with me as I was eating my lunch. I wish I had had more time, without having to sandwich them into my schedule and eat while we talked, but it was unexpected and fun to get to see them at all before they headed off for their honeymoon tour (a 2-week road trip).

It's raining really hard here. I put on light blue pants and a cute tie died shirt in bright colors. THEN I realized I exactly matched the umbrella in my trunk. I look like a catalog model for rainy days. BONUS!
Bright colors on a rainy day are always welcome (I think), and unexpectedly coordinated bright colors would definitely bring a smile!
You sandwiched them in while eating your lunch? Pun intended??? I love it!
I'm not good with puns, and I didn't think that one up beforehand, but as it came out of my fingers on the keyboard I realized it and decided to leave it for fun.
