Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR

I stood in line at the postoffice today and they had technical issues so it took a little longer and some customers who were behind me in line were behaving completely inappropriate and insulted the staff (for something that wasn't their fault). So I defended the staff and told those customers what I really thought of them and their bad behaviour. It might not have been the kindest thing to do, but I worked as a cashier for some time before I went to university and had to deal with this kind of unfriendly people every day but had to smile at them and still be friendly, so this was one of the most satisfying things for me to do :)
