7/29: reading

..."The Parson's Daughter of Oxney Colne" by Anthony Trollope because I saw that it is on the new required reading list for all 12th grade students in Texas public schools.  I was surprised to see Trollope's name at all on the list.  I'm not sure what young people who read only this slice of Trollope's work will think of it, but I was glad to have a push to get some Trollope into my summer.
