I participated in the Worldwide Moment this evening. At 7:09 Chris and I were out on the porch. Chris let me know the second the minute turned, and I began snapping pictures. I only managed to take 8 before it became 7:10. Here are my 2 favorites.
Life in late capitalism can be vexing, alienating, fragmenting, and otherwise frustrating. There are many wonderful things in my life, but I'm more likely to talk about what's bad rather than what's good. I'm going to try to post one good thing here each day, and if you would join in by adding a good thing from your day in the comments, I'd love it--I'd absolutely love it. --RR

it is my eldest daughters 32nd birthdat today, my heart is full of love and admiration for her
What a cool idea!
My good thing: Saw my oncologist today and he used the word "miracle" referring to me. He said he's had "a few" like me in his practice. It went right to my head -- gratitude for being alive against all odds and a sense of being unique and special -- see, right to my narcissistic head!
It's always so nice when you mention your daughter, Elaine; your feelings for her always come across.
And I'm glad for the miracle which is you, Barbara!
