Tidying up today included soaking glass bottles and de-labelling them so that they can be recycled.
When I was growing up my parents opted against getting an automatic dishwasher, and my mother called washing dishes by hand "hydrotherapy." Today it did feel therapeutic to get my hands in the water.

Hydrotherapy! I like it. My mom always said this: "Dishwasher? Why would I buy a dishwasher. I already have three. Their names are Leslie, Janel, and Sandy." Needless to say, we didn't appreciate her humor!
Though my mother enjoyed the "hydrotherapy" of dishwashing herself, she also felt free to prescribe the therapeutic program to me, my brother, and my sister--so I know what you mean, Sandy!
