9/19: coming across

...the work of Beni Montresor online.  I was able to read one of his picturebooks (The Witches of Venice) through archive.org, and I ordered a (rare) copy of a book he illustrated back in the 60s (Sounds of a Summer Night by May Garelick).  I've been under the weather today, so I appreciated the delight of his imagination and aesthetic.
