9/28: receiving

...a rare copy of Sounds of Summer Night written by May Garelick and illustrated by Beni Montresor.  It's an ex-library copy from the 1960s with (unfortunately) some permanent ink cross-outs, but I'm still so glad I have such a minimalist wonder.  Its images are both calming and exciting.
