11/10: not good--but good!

My alarm clock stopped in the middle of the night, and I didn't wake up until the sunlight coming into the bedroom woke me up. So I started the day an hour behind, but I got an extra hour of sleep. Happily, despite my late start, I got everything done in time and am even ready to turn to "bedtime reading" a half-hour earlier than usual.

We had a little emergency yesterday. Turns out my wife has pneumonia which requires a hospital stay as her immune system is not so good. Her breathing is much better today. My son is with her and I have returned to work. The physician says she will be fine. That is news I wanted to hear. It's a good day.

Great to hear your wife is getting better and has the care she needs!

Tonight the moon is spectacular! Full and with wisps of cloud passing before it a welcome comfort on my evening chores.

The day was warm and most of the snow is gone. I could almost feel the grass growing again, a trick of nature to act as if spring were happening, but a great day to be outside finishing up yard work, and just enjoying fall again.

I'm glad your wife is going to be okay. Good thing you took her in when you did.

And, April, I noticed the lovely moon this evening, too!
