3/17: back to school
Dr. Wortle's School, that is. It's the next Trollope novel I'm working on with some students, and I enjoyed getting to spend some time with it today. Treating it after The Warden is going to spark some interesting conversations through comparison and contrast. We'll be better off for not having read it in isolation.

Saw snowdrops and crocus in bloom; spring is on the way.
Hurray for balanced checkbooks, Dian! I know the good feeling when all the math works out and jives with what the bank says.
And snowdrops and crocuses! Snowdrops always seem magical to me, and I appreciate the bright colors of crocuses in early spring--they are bold harbingers.
