3/24: walking in the wind

I'm feeling jitters at going back to school:  the next seven weeks are going to be crazy and full.  To calm myself down I went to the lake twice today, once in the morning and once in the evening.  The wind has been steady all day.  The cold on my face felt good.

Our lake doesn't see much in the way of waves usually, but here's one from today:

I love this little wavelet.

And yes, I'm jittery, too. While I love the rest of Spring Break, I've begun to wonder if it isn't a double-edged sword, as we've just had a taste of the true academic freedom of summer, and now we have to crunch through seven weeks of insanity to get there.

Yes, a "wavelet" it is!

I think I'm going to give myself up to the insanity rather than try to fight it (which doesn't work anyway). If I make the decision to throw myself into the busy-ness, it might feel better than if I consider myself being pulled along by it? We'll see how that hypothesis fares as the weeks go by.

I like your strategy. It's a little like becoming the wavelet yourself rather than being pushed around by it. :)

I will have to keep returning to the wavelet picture to remind myself....
