11/24: nothing until sunday
School is cancelled for the rest of the week. I spent my last hour in the office today sketching out what special end-of-the-semester tasks I'll need to do each day until the end of final exams. It's looking like a manageable amount--in fact, manageable enough that I decided I didn't need to bring home any extra work for the long weekend. I have a business letter to write on Sunday evening, but other than that I'm in the clear.

recognizing how much interior time the soul needs... it was 2 p.m. b4 i could comfortably get myself into the day, so grateful i have the time to be attentive
There are days when we try to *force* ourselves into the day even when our soul isn't ready--and that never seems to work out well. So I'm glad you were able not to force things today, Elaine; the soul wants to breathe in its own way; I know that I sometimes forget to let it (her?) set the pace.
i am sure there are days when we must force ourselves... i am so grateful for retirement , it allows for so much time and space with forcing anything... much to be thankful for
