10/10: looking up

As Shakespeare writes, "This most excellent canopy, the air...." Excellent indeed.

I've been photographing clouds for four years now. I have thousands of cloud photos and yet haven't gotten tired of taking more. I took this one after an early dinner this evening, as I was heading back to my campus office to do a little more work before coming home.

... sun in my eyes in the morning as I sit at my office desk - I don't ask my colleagues to pull down the window shade (unlike my coworker who experiences the same a few minutes later, only through the next window) but enjoy the precious time I am almost blinded by all that light...

Those times when one feels the force of light are amazing. Too often I treat them practically and put on my sunglasses or pull the blind--thanks for sharing the experience of letting the sun stay in charge.

Our watercolor class has been practicing painting skies for the past few months. It ain't easy!

I can imagine it would be difficult, Barbara. I think it's hard even to photograph the sky--sometimes the photo doesn't look at all what the sky felt like....
